(Verse 1) Lessons to write, it's funny how the best things in life can become the worst ones, your best hope is that the pain turns numb, and that's a bad way to live, but it's what we learn from, distract yourself, create a diversion, deception of a person, doors revolve, but the tables ain't turnin', no escape from your inner monologue, arguing on and on, even if you wanna stop, and I got a lot stored up in me, bubbling, oozing, no soothing or comforting, wondering what is reality, balancing everything that's surrounding me, challenging, it's difficult to grow when you don't even know how to know, and so I'm (Chorus) Moving back and forth again, wondering what's real, if truth is an illusion then I don't know how to feel, I'm trapped inside my head where everything looks different, but somewhere outside of it is a place worth living in (Verse 2) Perception's directive, what you wanna see, 'til inner questions intersect with your odyssey, what you wanna be versus what you are, arteries pump from your heart, so follow it, take fear and swallow it, spit your pride up long enough to walk with it, exercise your demons, the positive energizes reasons to conquer it, it's hard to see beyond the bars of a cage, so it's hard visualizin' change, we only know what we can feel, but looking out strengthens my zeal, so take my hand so I can reach a world outside and finally leave, but sometimes where the beauty lies is a beautiful lie just in disguise (Chorus) Moving back and forth again, wondering what's real, if truth is an illusion then I don't know how to feel, I'm trapped inside my head where everything looks different, but somewhere outside of it is a place worth living in (Verse 3) And if I'm gonna be honest, thoughts are weaved by a spider in my conscience, spinning out of control 'til the nonsense is all I see in my optics, so I'll scour the trash 'til I find a compass, discover a direction, stumble on a sunset, illuminating what'll come next, so I can bear it all like I'm undressed, but I must confess that my unrest upsets what's left of my stomach, untying knots as I climb this rope, the same one that'll choke, and it's tied to a boat, but what floats that boat isn't always so full o' hope, so as turbulent tides subside to the side, I'll walk across this moat, 'cause I've been (Chorus) Moving back and forth again, wondering what's real, if truth is an illusion then I don't know how to feel, I'm trapped inside my head where everything looks different, but somewhere outside of it is a place worth living in (Outro) Moving back and forth, wondering what's real, outside my head, outside my head, outside, is a place worth living in

(Intro) Everybody, come on, let's get down, yo (Chorus 1) I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with the rap (Verse 1) Yo, if you're a fan of us, ya have to grab your cameras to capture what I pack into an act when I’m attackin' it, I have enough stamina to go dancin' with Gammorah, 'cause I'm radioactive when I'm rappin', laughin' at amateurs, lyrical champion who's inflictin' the damage upon anybody out there standin' up, thinkin' they're man enough, takin' all the hatred, then make it into a love song, dedicated to the fake kids, I bust off, haters can fillate us and then take it up the anus simultaneous and slowly, yellin' holy guacamole, like I blessed a burrito, but I'm blessin' all the microphones, recitin' fo' the people, stayin' cooler than an icicle, call me Christopher the minister, but I be rippin' up the party with this sinister delivery much wickeder than anybody thinkin' they can do it similar to me, but could never do it 'cause they're not as sick as an emcee (Chorus 2) Hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, uhhh, yo, I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, mmm, yo, hit 'em with a little bit o' this, then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with the rap (Verse 2) People co-signin' the rhymin' that I am designin', I'm always tryin' to find enough lines when I'm writin', and sometimes it's harder than a diamond, or harder than a dick when it's stickin' inside the hymen of a vagina, but I grew up rappin' in Minneapolis by Edina, spit fire, perspire when gettin' live like a wire, timin' is lightnin' when I'm in cyphers ignitin' a riot, from the size of a minor 'til the time I retire (woooo), topplin' the competition like I'm in a Mack Truck, wack raps are like black cats, 'cause tryin' to cross over is bad luck, if you attempt that shit, you're gonna need a hat trick with a rabbit, and cut off its foot just to counteract it, in other words you're gonna need good luck and magic, forget about it, kid, you'll never get around to it, ya don't possess the passion, ya need to quit rappin' (Chorus 3) I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, hit 'em with a little bit o' this, then I hit 'em with a little bit o' that, I hit 'em with a little bit o' this and then everybody knows that it's a wrap

(Intro) I'm not tryin' to settle, man, I'm not makin' a plan B, or a plan C, or plan H, what is it about life that makes it so hard to just do what you want and be happy (Verse 1) Another day, but not another dollar, knowledge is power, but look at all the unemployed scholars (man), when you don't have money or your own residence, how do you define what your independence is, old friends grew up to be successful, findin' spouses and buyin' houses without a debt load, is that the blueprint to use if you want happiness, while I scratch my head, wonderin' why hasn't it happened yet (I don't know), can't decide if all my college years were wasted or a place where I got some necessary education, the past is passed, what's left to salvage, hookin' up my SNES just to feel nostalgic (uh huh), and if I really had a stash of extra lives, I might take more risks with each lived before I died, trigger finger aimed at my foot, not tryin' to pull it, so the smile I force keeps bitin' the bullet (Chorus) But I'm alright, man, how do you feel, I'm alright, girl, but how do you feel, 'cause sometimes it's hard to maintain, so we do what we do to get through the day, hey, but I'm alright, man, how do you feel, I'm alright, girl, but how do you feel, 'cause sometimes it's hard to maintain, so we do what we do to get through the day (Verse 2) Substance abuse, some dilute their troubles with a cup full o' booze, others love the drugs that they choose, me, my comfort was food, but with every gained pound I found there was somethin' to lose (yeah), you can shape yourself into anything, but when out of shape, you start to break down with every round you make, a square peg in this circle of life and even if you get in where you fit in, doesn't mean you'll like it (nope), I need a vay-cay from this head trip, stresses addin' up on my note card checklists (uhhhh), zone out at home now, watchin' Netflix, YouTube documentaries, Monday night wrestlin', jackin' off just to clear my head, 'cause it comes to a point like a pyramid when your ear is lent to the rhythm and the lyrics, it's like the only thing left liftin' up my spirits (Chorus) But I'm alright, man, how do you feel, I'm alright, girl, but how do you feel, 'cause sometimes it's hard to maintain, so we do what we do to get through the day, hey, but I'm alright, man, how do you feel, I'm alright, girl, but how do you feel, 'cause sometimes it's hard to maintain, so we do what we do to get through the day (Verse 3) Got a half a tank in my Honda, bumpin' Death Cab and OutKast on the way to my concerts, all work and no play can make a man insane, but you can save your brain if you love the process (uh huh), so much time spent, never felt ripped off, my pen writes happiness seen in this inkblot, because I met so many people through hip hop that helped when life threw me a loop like ring toss, I live off rap, and I don't mean financially (nah), it just makes me feel alive when I get too panicky, Rapfam was just a name for this family, that forged through the music to restore all our sanity, I know lives that were literally saved when they had one shoe stickin' into a grave, and that might not be something you can understand, but this culture, I can't go back to anything other than (Chorus) So I'm alright, man, how do you feel, I'm alright, girl, how do you feel, 'cause sometimes it's hard to maintain, so we do what we do to get through the day, hey, but I'm alright, man, how do you feel, I'm alright, girl, but how do you feel, 'cause sometimes it's hard to maintain, so we do what we do to get through the day (Outro: Christopher Michael Jensen & Antioch) Chris: Yo Antioch: Ay Chris: You alright Antioch: Dude, feelin' great Chris: Antioch, are you alright Antioch: Man, yeah Chris & Antioch: (*laughter*) Chris: Yo, just, yeah, just keep it runnin', we got Wesley Opus in the studio Antioch: C.M.J. on the mo-fuckin' Chris & Antioch: (*laughter*) Antioch: Yeeeeaaaahhhh, 2014, you suckers Chris: (*laughter*) Yo, Wes, let me, let me just hear that
4.
(Verse 1: Christopher Michael Jensen) Hey yo, I'm paranoid, cornered with a gun to my brain, and a box cutter tucked under my jugular vein, fuckin' insane and I need release, at war with myself, tryin' to keep the peace, I see the beast when I look in your eyes, but that's just because they're reflectin' what I despise, in front of a live crowd, tryin' to convince you, to accept me and what I've been through, it's like a Ginsu stabbin' through my clavicle, sometimes the way I'm treated feels so unnatural, so listen closely like a stenographer, while this image gets imprinted like snuff film photographers, blood from old wounds splattered on the wall, pick apart my enemy, unravelin' this gauze, so that means that I'm battlin' my flaws, at a loss for words, just shatterin' my jaw, beatin' myself up over and over, ironic that it burns more the colder the shoulder, surrounded by boulders, stared down by faces o' stone, the places I roam, they ain't even home, I hate what I know and strain to control as it's takin' its toll, plaguin' my dome while it's breakin' my soul, how do I escape from this hole, succumbin' to psychosis, and that's somethin' that I gotta cope with (Chorus 1: Christopher Michael Jensen & Dem Atlas) Chris: Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis Dem Atlas: Psychosis Chris: Swarmin' around your head like locust Dem Atlas: Like locust Chris: Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis Dem Atlas: Psychosis Chris: Why does everything feel so hopeless Dem Atlas: So hopeless Chris: Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis Dem Atlas: Psychosis Chris: It's gettin' harder and harder to control this Dem Atlas: Control this Chris: Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis, tryin' to regain focus (Interlude: Dem Atlas & Christopher Michael Jensen) Dem Atlas: I hate what I know Chris: I hate what I know Dem Atlas: I hate what I got Chris: I hate what I got Dem Atlas: I hate what I know Chris: I hate what I know Dem Atlas: I hate what I got Chris: I hate what I got Dem Atlas: I hate what I know Chris: I hate what I know Dem Atlas: I hate what I got Chris: I hate what I got Dem Atlas: I hate what I know Chris: I hate what I know Dem Atlas: I hate what I (Verse 2: Dem Atlas) Same problems (problems), but do a damn thing about 'em, ha haaaa, my biggest critic lives within my head, I do what he says, I move where he lands (eh-hey), and he demands ransom, he could be my father or I could be his damn son, and there is never a promise that's worth enough to keep, so I tuck it under the covers and let her sleep deep, don't look at me, I'm ugly, don't trust me, just love me or nobody (moorre), born and watchin' her bleed dry, you could never fathom what goes on between these eyes, but I walk like a soldier, and I thought that I told ya, I'm just waitin' for this apocalyptic vision to be over, but the day never comes, succumbin' and runnin', mutterin' sweet nothin's into my daughter's ear (aahhhhh), tellin' her she tellin' me there's nothin' to fear, I think she a liar, I think she is turnin' away, I want her to go, I want her to stay, and she can do whatever ever ever I say (Chorus 1: Christopher Michael Jensen & Dem Atlas) Chris: Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis Dem Atlas: Psychosis Chris: Swarmin' around your head like locust Dem Atlas: Like locust Chris: Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis Dem Atlas: Psychosis Chris: Why does everything feel so hopeless Dem Atlas: So hopeless Chris: Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis Dem Atlas: Psychosis Chris: It's gettin' harder and harder to control this Dem Atlas: Control this Chris: Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis, tryin' to regain focus (Chorus 2: Christopher Michael Jensen) Psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis, swarmin' around your head like locust, psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis, why does everything feel so hopeless, psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis, it's gettin' harder and harder to control this, psychosis, yeah, it's psychosis, tryin' to regain focus
5.
(Verse 1: Christopher Michael Jensen) Some spend their time sniffin' out a life that ain't nothin' to sneeze at, sick of this ridiculous fight to achieve that, take Julie, she felt weaker as the week went, started off okay, but just wait 'til the weekend, 'cause Saturday was the saddest day, being lonesome was loathsome, to not have a mate's like acetate, burning so much and it felt like nothing could help, mind so distorted she resorted to cutting herself, the rush was enough of a distraction to take away the pain and disgust of her actions, she wears the scars, but the biggest are invisible, the inner turmoil embroiled, an individual with so much baggage it won't fit in the overhead, pretending she can carry it all on her shoulders then, 'cause even as the weight crushes her spine, she stays undermined by what's up in her mind (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & Liz Harper) 'Cause some don't know what to do, and some don't know what to say, and sometimes we have to lose to win another day, and I wish I had the answers, but nothing is the same, if only I could put it all away (Verse 2: Liz Harper) Finding comfort in this haze where I'm more afraid of change than the rush of being bright with the sun across my face, prescribed the situation, white pills for warm hands, take all my delusions to revise your own plans, 'cause I don't need security, rather just be gone, reminded of your love, but I don't wanna be strong, see, all these expectations are the problems to begin, I just work so hard and wanted to stand again, but the bone healed wrong, already walked too long, and now the pain is louder than the words they have to say, how ya doin', ma'am, oh, I'm great, I'm doin' great, but please be on your way 'cause there's nothin' here to save, nothin' here to make, nothin' here to trade, I'm just pushin' back skin in search of an escape, I'll take it all for granted, admit this life's a lie, 'cause it seems the things that kill us are what make us feel alive (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & Liz Harper) 'Cause some don't know what to do, and some don't know what to say, and sometimes we have to lose to win another day, and I wish I had the answers, but nothing is the same, if only I could (Verse 3: Christopher Michael Jensen) Abuse is a noose and it tightens on your trachea, tangled up in dangerous amounts of the mania, investment in question, a trap and it's pricey, hard to pinpoint an escape so precisely, a cycle, cycling, a circle full of crises, tricky circumventin' circumstances of your psyche, slicing through your senses like a buzz saw, that's why every cut cuts to the chase to be cut off, huh, an ongoing struggle with a muzzle and a puddle of tears inside a puzzle, and that razor ain't for the stubble, it drips at the tips while the lips say I love you, the mind has a mind of its own, and some lives are contrived by the conniving lies that it's told, elusively losin', abuse and confusion, just tryin' to find some truth in the music (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & Liz Harper) 'Cause some don't know what to do, and some don't know what to say, and sometimes we have to lose to win another day, and I wish I had the answers, but nothing is the same, if only I could put it all away (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & Liz Harper) 'Cause some don't know what to do, and some don't know what to say, and sometimes we have to lose to win another day, and I wish I had the answers, but nothing is the same, if only I could
6.
(Verse 1) We're all protagonists with our own version of happiness, they can't all sync up, and that's where conflict comes into the picture, we all see the frame differently, so for every bit of joy deploys another's misery, the fallen form a void, torn like corduroy, becoming destroyed by noise from a symphony, it drowns out the forgotten, creating a rift, some continue to rise while others no longer exist, a schism, too many cysts in the system, some are systematically imprisoned, slowly inchin' along, trying to sneak a peek at vision, they listen, eavesdropping on the words of kings and there's no pleasantries for peasants pestering to penetrate a position, desecrating conviction, devastating existence, entertaining the wisdom, but when it's too late, tardiness isn't forgiven (Chorus) So we move like ants, all together, yeah, we move like ants, stepped on by a shoe that stands, I should smile more, let me do my dance, huhh, so we move like ants, all together, yeah, we move like ants, press on and excuse our chance, kumbaya, let the group hold hands (Verse 2) What's more valuable, trust or love, lying to ourselves with this courage that we've mustered up, maybe we're just blinded by this passion that we feign, hoping for different outcomes but the actions are the same, it's sad but unexplained how the agony remains, tragic in the wake of something bad that you can't shake, laughing at the pain to change the dynamic, to save ourselves from drowning like the Titanic, we're all misunderstood 'til someone understands, lost and alone 'til someone comes to clutch our hands, and pull us from the wreckage and the second that they do, it's like the sky opens and the best of us can bloom, but misdirections are a cue that can skew the truth, the future hangs in the balance of unbalanced views, unaccounted fruits that simply rot away, leaving us with memories of everything and not decaying (Chorus) So we move like ants, all together, yeah, we move like ants, stepped on by a shoe that stands, I should smile more, let me do my dance, huhh, so we move like ants, all together, yeah, we move like ants, press on and excuse our chance, kumbaya, let the group hold hands (Interlude) *Sample*: "Some people are completely serious, some people are completely serious, some people are completely serious, serious" (Verse 3) Put on a brave face, a mask to hide the rigamortus, grinning through a thinly veiled attempt to feel important, too much motion sickness from going through the motions, it's too hard to hold onto devotion, soaking in emotion, folding up, implodin', skin worn to the bone, loading up on lotion, rub it in to sooth the pain, but who's to say if we win or lose today, some escape through the sound of a drum, others escape through the round in a gun, as breaths breath in and out of our lungs, few options, confounded with fun and lousy at love, the power's out at the end of the tunnel, the deck's stacked against us and we're lost in the shuffle, abandoned in the present tense, and antiquated equations always equal negatives (Chorus) So we move like ants, all together, yeah, we move like ants, stepped on by a shoe that stands, I should smile more, let me do my dance, huhh, so we move like ants, all together, yeah, we move like ants, press on and excuse our chance, kumbaya, let the group hold hands
7.
(Verse 1: Christopher Michael Jensen) Life's a midget, get it, can't lead it eternally, people's immaturity the reason for breedin' their insecurity, relishing in their jealousy, so they start up a beef, so the saying is suitable, you are what you eat, 'cause they feast upon the drama 'til the point it's defining 'em, settin' so many bridges ablaze you gotta call the firemen, wiser men are retirin', tirin' of the phony games, not about to lose over somebody else's growing pains, so deranged and delusional, but not just in music, though, it's families, relationships, and in the cubicle, people brokerin' business that doesn't fit in their job description and stickin' their noses in things that they shouldn't be sniffin', and even if ya try to stop 'em, cockroaches and vultures opposin' are layin' in wait just to shank ya in your spinal column, weary 'cause what fear do, gazes thrown over shoulders, tastin' bitterness as you lick your lips, staring through the rearview (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen) Proof is cookin' in the puddin', you can see it right there, you think that life's fair, do you think that life's fair, so if you got a dream, then ya better plot and scheme before another person turns it to a nightmare, proof is cookin' in the puddin', you can see it right there, you think that life's fair, do you think that life's fair, so if you got a dream, then ya better plot and scheme before they turn it to a nightmare (Verse 2: Christopher Michael Jensen) So much egregious needless B.S. that can sideline ya, a frightful sight, at night it's like you're sleep walkin' on high wires, wakin' up in chains and cuffs, your body stretched across the bed, I'd change it up and break it but all these connections keep me tethered, fuck that, I'm in a rough patch tearing out the stitchin', every welcomed guest keeps wearing out their visit, my thoughts are loud, I block it out with music blaring out my system, turn the volume down and walk around, but I'm fairly optimistic that for each killjoy, there's another saving grace, that can instill joy and doesn't have to take away every little hint of it, isn't it just ridiculous the things that sting and stick in us, I'm cringin' when I think of it, it's ringin' in my head when I ain't even tryin' to listen and it's so insidious that we're forced to fuckin' live with this, high hopes as a child learnin' from a highchair, but dreams can be so easily converted to a nightmare, so why am I here, can I barter with my karma, hold it now, please slow it down and maybe pause it like a comma, leave my friends alone, get along, and put drama in the water like laundry day and wash the stains from the garments that are on us, because I wanna wear my heart on my sleeve and let it speak every time you try to tug on its strings, I'm cuttin' you free, it's just not somethin' I need, 'cause no one's ever gonna be healthy with a fuckin' disease (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen) Proof is cookin' in the puddin', you can see it right there, you think that life's fair, do you think that life's fair, so if you got a dream, then ya better plot and scheme before another person turns it to a nightmare, proof is cookin' in the puddin', you can see it right there, you think that life's fair, do you think that life's fair, so if you got a dream, then ya better plot and scheme before they turn it to a nightmare (Interlude: Christopher Michael Jensen) Turn it to a nightmare, turn it to a nightmare, a nightmare, a nightmare, a nightmare, a nightmare (Verse 3: Ashley Seeler) While I feel so grateful for Mother Earth and the constant beauties and blessings she provides, I understand and can physically feel the pain of those around me, the depths of some of their dark moments tend to astound me, as I look to the ever changing clouds for an answer, they slowly drift away, they dissipate, and I am left with a velvety blanket of darkening skies, I accept in my heart that the sky will not give me the answers, not today, no, today I must dig deep into the rabbit hole, let myself slip, fall, let go, to reach the bottom of this seemingly never-ending struggle, I also realize I must not remain here for too long, my spirit deserves better, but must experience this wrenching hurt in order to fully and wholly appreciate all the gifts Mother Earth has given, so here I must sit, cross-legged like a small confused child back in second grade, constantly looking around for approval, endlessly wondering what will come next, and I feel like that young child, alone, and pondering, how I let myself fall this far yet again, why would I continue to let you hurt me, much worse than I was injured on the tire swing and the monkey bars so long ago, no, you may not have broken my arm, or scraped my knee, you inflicted harm on my soul, took stabs at my heart, telling me that you love me so, then day after day tearing me apart, while I find myself surrounded by dirt and ugly memories, I realize that I've been looking down this entire time, I allow myself to glance up and see the answer, to see the light, sneaking through the tiny cracks in the earth above me, knowing that no matter how deep you try to bury me, the light will always come through, because I deserve it, and so do you, despite all the wicked hell you've put me through, Mother Earth will always have a place for you, and for all of us, it's only a matter of time before we all find our light, only a matter of perspective, of courage to overcome, to realize that we all have worth, and deserve all the blessings and all of the beauty
8.
(Verse 1) The words in a verse are the spark from my lungs, I'm on point like a knife 'cause I'm sharp with the tongue, I use it to try to widdle out my own name in the streets, from Downtown to Uptown to Hidden Beach, rockin' clubs and house parties all the way to West Bank, and everything in between, it's like a chess game, are you a king or a pawn, and who's really makin' moves while they're singin' their songs, come on, tell me 'bout it, a lot o' rappers should really go and throw in the towel, because they're fly by night like an owl, there's dues to be paid, and maybe we should jack up the price, 'cause I've been rappin' for more than half o' my life, so I'm a veteran, I guess, tryin' to be better than the rest, got no tattoos, but art's imbedded in my flesh, 'cause I bleed this shit, but don't sweat it when I vent, hip hop's in my heart, so let me get it off my chest, yes (Chorus) Minneapolis state of mind, the city that I live in, everybody stays on the grind, all year, fall, winter, spring, and summertime, and if ya heard differently, then someone lied, I got that Minneapolis state of mind, the city that I live in, everybody stays on the grind, all year, fall, winter, spring, and summertime, so come along for another ride (Verse 2) Twin Cities, livin' in Minne, listenin' to Biggie, it was all a dream, honestly, some probably thought I was kidding, startin' out, they couldn't see me as bein' a rapper, but I sacrificed half my life and believed it could happen, flowin' until I could speak in these patterns, honin' my skills, but I'm broke with some bills and needin' to cash in, money's never been what I'm goin' against, just the people changed by it and those that control who's in debt, in this industry we battle over respect, I don't wanna look back with total resentment, full of regret, the older I get, feel under the gun, like I can't work fast enough, maybe that's where the term hustlin's from, maybe more people would discover my stuff if I could come up with enough money to cover publicist funds, 'cause gettin' buck don't mean collectin' cash, so I'll grind 'til the gears fall off with my head attached, and keep that (Chorus) Minneapolis state of mind, the city that I live in, everybody stays on the grind, all year, fall, winter, spring, and summertime, and if ya heard differently, then someone lied, I got that Minneapolis state of mind, the city that I live in, everybody stays on the grind, all year, fall, winter, spring, and summertime, so come along for another ride (Verse 3) They say every single child is an artist, how many grow up with their easels, because, you can't eat paint when you're starvin', in fact, that can be lethal, maybe in my dreams, though, but save the sleep fo' narcoleptics, tryin' to make bank like TCF architects did, I'd give every arm and leg limb to get ahead, along with large intestines, because it takes guts, ain't no place for lame ducks, birds of the same feather never stand out, so how you gonna make a nest egg when no one's invested, 'cause doin' the same thing'll never pan out, people are fiendin' for meanin', I see my reason for bein' from season to season even as the time fades, 'cause even when reasons are fleetin', I'm seekin' to keep the peace and I frequently feel it, peek into my mind state, and understand this whole (Chorus) Minneapolis state of mind, the city that I live in, everybody stays on the grind, all year, fall, winter, spring, and summertime, and if ya heard differently, then someone lied, I got that Minneapolis state of mind, the city that I live in, everybody stays on the grind, all year, fall, winter, spring, and summertime, so come along for another ride (Outro) Yeah, ya know, 'cause, not everyone's built for this, or can do this on a day to day basis, you just gotta have the right state of mind, much love, Minneapolis

(Verse 1: Christopher Michael Jensen) They're sellin' us lies, it's a deceitful planet, I want my offering back, where'd the receipt go, damn it, patience tested, I was cheated, 'cause it left me so conceded in my youth, when the truth was the message that I needed, I accepted all the teachin's and the views o' Christians, raised in a faith sayin' it's the true religion, but after senior year, began to see things clear, so I'm no longer soothed by superstitions, a talk with God's just askin' yourself questions, what if we reflected on our own reflections, but the worst lies are the ones the liars believe, ignoring what feels right to try to perceive so called higher decrees, how many ignorant shepherds inspire the sheep every time that they speak, they literally got you closin' your eyes on your knees, and a follower ain't somethin' that I'm tryin' to be, so (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & North Star Wisdom) Chris: Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', talk to it, the face ain't listenin', talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', get out of my face North Star: Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', talk to it, the face ain't listenin', talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', get out of my face (Verse 2: North Star Wisdom) Soldiers die in the sand to the rhythm of a rifle blast, scapegoat martyrs, from the crosses to the Taliban, suicide bombers to the crucified promised land, apocalypse upon us, searchin' pockets for the contraband, seekin' sovereignty, apostles, and apologies, hallelujah, holy Mary, jihad for commodities, blowin' heads off in the name of an economy, snipers on the balcony, rockets on the mountain peak, part the seas full of mercury and cyanide, take a bite of this American pie and choke on your pride, they told me take a toke of the Holy Ghost, but when I inhaled the smoke I wasn't the one getting high, I put my money in the basket out of obligation, I'm not funding churches, I am funding their persuasion, it's something sacred, I've read the verses, I've seen the contradiction, and I've felt the lack of purpose (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & North Star Wisdom) Chris: Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', talk to it, the face ain't listenin', talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', get out of my face North Star: Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', talk to it, the face ain't listenin', talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', get out of my face (Verse 3: Christopher Michael Jensen) Words rearranged and changed over thousands o' years, like a game o' telephone played by thousands o' peers, look at the original pages, light shined from the minds of scribes inspired in the dark ages, human created, thrivin' off o' fear and control, manipulatin' everything you hear and you don't, intimidation that has the appearance of hope, don't follow Satan if you want a spiritual home, justification for discrimination, wars waged, and they even push it through our legislation, believers who are preachin' what the scripture says, but next to lines of good advice is bigotry and ignorance, shovin' it down our throats, like blah blah, etcetera, but I know somewhere else that they could shove it like an enema, time to put a stop to all your propaganda, so please only talk to what I've got to hand ya (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & North Star Wisdom) Chris: Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', talk to it, the face ain't listenin', talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', get out of my face North Star: Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', talk to it, the face ain't listenin', talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', get out of my face (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & North Star Wisdom) Chris: Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', talk to it, the face ain't listenin', talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', get out of my face North Star: Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', talk to it, the face ain't listenin', talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listenin', get out of my face

(Intro) Yeah, uhhh, yo, alright (Verse 1) Hey yo, kick in the door, all out assault, I swing the gavel at everybody at fault, time to catapult myself into your area, tear it up and shake things up like a malt, ya'll play it safe, think outside the vault, I hold the keys, control shift alt., halt, who goes there, stop it, everything about you makes me wanna vomit (Chorus) Got me feelin' like a maniac, skulls bang, concussion of a brainiac, so sick of your lazy act, time to break your back and then make it crack, uhhh, yo, got me feelin' like a maniac, skulls bang, concussion of a brainiac, so sick of your lazy act, you need to face the facts before you fade to black, uhhh (Verse 2) Yo, step inside the terrordome, quit talkin', you sound terrible, me, I'm aerial, you're grounded, this is not for you, choose a different outlet, you're an embarrassment, you should cut it out like a cesarean, and yeah, I'm arrogant, but I can back it up, like a hype man, so put your doubts to rest next to your nightstand, I got the password, this is next level, but your game's over, you're 'bout to get thrown, out, strikin' out like a bad batter, 'cause I'm pullin' your card, I'm the Mad Hatter, my rap shatters all preconceived notions, who are these clown emcees who be boastin', my brain aims flames, leave the beat smokin', and spread ash 'cross the sea and three oceans, yeah (Chorus) Got me feelin' like a maniac, skulls bang, concussion of a brainiac, so sick of your lazy act, time to break your back and then make it crack, uhhh, yo, got me feelin' like a maniac, skulls bang, concussion of a brainiac, so sick of your lazy act, you need to face the facts before you fade to black, uhhh (Chorus) Got me feelin' like a maniac, skulls bang, concussion of a brainiac, so sick of your lazy act, time to break your back and then make it crack, uhhh, yo, got me feelin' like a maniac, skulls bang, concussion of a brainiac, so sick of your lazy act, you need to face the facts before you fade to black

(Intro: Lydia Liza) Oooohhhh-eeeeyyyy (Verse 1: Christopher Michael Jensen) Some people make life look effortless, like they dug up a treasure chest, I just dug myself deep enough to seem treacherous, not easy not being a pessimist, gettin' text messages my best friend sends again, tellin' me that she's suicidal, even though she's one of the greatest humans I know, she wants to leave a mark like her music idols, chattin' with her like, yeah, you and I both, I'd prob'ly be terrified if I climbed inside your mind and saw what you confronted with each one o' your eyes (Lydia Liza) Ohhhh-ey (Christopher Michael Jensen) And it assists in givin' me perspective when sluggin' it out with bouts of my depression, you can die tryin' to please the world, but is it worth it, 'cause even perfectionists aren't perfect (Lydia Liza) Ohhhh yeeeeaaaahhhh (Christopher Michael Jensen) You're the only one who can come and determine your own purpose for certain (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & Lydia Liza) Chris & Lydia: Mother told me not to make the same mistakes as everyone around me, there's only so much you can take and waste away and many never found peace, yeah, mother told me, my mother told me that I don't have to cry, no Chris: 'Cause there's a beautiful view, you just gotta dry your eyes (Verse 2: Christopher Michael Jensen) Some nights ya gotta sleep on it (Lydia Liza) Ohhhh-eeeeyyyy (Christopher Michael Jensen) It's a learning experience, hoping daylight will be turning your tears to mist, dirty clothes strewn through my room with fast food literin' the floor, it's like I'm livin' in a fort, just to keep the pain at bay until it fades away, but I swear, man, every day's the same, I took a weird route, never drank or did drugs, a lot look up to me for it and they give love, but it transformed me to an alien, isolated from my peers 'cause I can't relate to 'em, it just never looked appealing to lose control of your actions or having your memories be redacted (Lydia Liza) Oooooooohhhhhhhh (Christopher Michael Jensen) But if everything you're remembering is hated, I get why you would try to escape it, it's gut wrenchin' how a life can go, but, I still stand by the life I chose, 'cause (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & Lydia Liza) Chris & Lydia: Mother told me not to make the same mistakes as everyone around me, there's only so much you can take and waste away and many never found peace, yeah, mother told me, my mother told me that I don't have to cry, no Chris: 'Cause there's a beautiful view, you Chris & Lydia: Just gotta dry your eyes (Interlude: Lydia Liza) Eeeeeeeeyyyyyyyy heeeeyyyy, hoooooooohhhhhhhh-ey-ey-ey-eeeeyyyy, eeeeyyyy, ey (Verse 3: Christopher Michael Jensen) (Lydia Liza) Heeeeyyyyy, hoooohhhh-heeeeyyyy, heeeeyyyy, heeeeyyyy, heeyy, heeyy, heeeeyyyy, mm-mm-mm-ohh-ohh-ohhhh, oooohhhh (Christopher Michael Jensen) So much to process, they replaced my father's hip, and my mom's kidneys are really not the best, feelin' old, watchin' 'em go through all of this, hard enough to juggle my own life and stay on top of it, unrequited love is what I'm always fallin' in, I just wanna get out and do the opposite, sure could use a boost of self-confidence, 'cause broken hearts could use a cardiologist, thirteen was my first real kiss on the lips, the girl told her friends I kissed like a fish, and ever since I've been swimmin' in the sea, goin' off the deep end, wishin' for a creek, because I mean, friendship's great, but I hate the loneliness, the sun sets, unrest, no one to hold in bed, onerous, so down, lower than road cement, heart's growin' colder than the Minnesota snow and then problems start pilin', engines are idlin', loss of momentum, then when ya try again, the violin plays another sad song, so I made up my own words, now sing along (Chorus: Christopher Michael Jensen & Lydia Liza) Chris & Lydia: Mother told me not to make the same mistakes as everyone around me, there's only so much you can take and waste away and many never found peace, yeah, mother told me, my mother told me that I don't have to cry, no Chris: 'Cause there's a beautiful view, you just gotta dry your eyes (Outro: Lydia Liza & Christopher Michael Jensen) Lydia: Dry your eyes, dry your eyes, oooohhhh, it's a beautiful view, dry your eyes Chris: Yeah

(Intro) Everybody, stand up, what up, ICETEP, yo (Verse 1) It's a political party, yeah, raise your fist, understand, though, where the change begins, it starts in your own mind, we create the world we see, so don't go blind, you need to know why people do what they do, so you can go try to push through what is true, the future will lose if it's not new and improved, but a revolution starts with a movement of few, so we have to start buildin' it, and if they spit in your face, get militant, 'cause sometimes you have to fight for your right to even have rights, and you shouldn't have to ask twice, we need to repave the foundation, we are America, this is our nation, if you want change, ya gotta be it, that's the only way you're gonna see it, believe it (Chorus) Put your fist in the air, and keep it there if ya really do care, yeah, power to the people, take it back from those devoured by the evil, put your fist in the air, and keep it there if ya really do care, yeah, power to the people, this is our hour to be equal (Verse 2) It's about taking care of the free, oppression's like a terrible leech, it sucks us dry, takes the air that we breathe, and suffocates options, and where does that leave the American dream, opportunity is not charity, geez, I swear, some people don't even care if we eat, because when it comes to the politics, you really wanna know what the problem is, look at how powerful the dollar is, and how Congress is run by conglomerates, the system is flawed, constricted by laws made by the rich that inflict us with loss, the big and the small, we're both treated differently, it's not class warfare, it's about symmetry, seriously, if justice is blind, it shouldn't be lookin' down on us all the time, ohhhh (Chorus) Put your fist in the air, and keep it there if ya really do care, yeah, power to the people, take it back from those devoured by the evil, put your fist in the air, and keep it there if ya really do care, yeah, power to the people, this is our hour to be equal (Verse 3) It's about expression, you shouldn't just let your voice be heard in an election, every moment is a challenge that is a fought, 'cause voting goes beyond a ballot in a box, the things you do, the things you say, you vote with your life every single day, and I treat my whole life as a work of art, so I'm particular about each divergent part, what I put into it, how I instigate, what I see ahead of me, how I bring the change, and being different than the next person, how I think and grow into the next version, the evolution of revolution is constant, and that's something to acknowledge, so be honest, what are you doing in the process, and what are you gonna accomplish (Chorus) Put your fist in the air, and keep it there if ya really do care, yeah, power to the people, take it back from those devoured by the evil, put your fist in the air, and keep it there if ya really do care, yeah, power to the people, this is our hour to be equal (Chorus) Put your fist in the air, and keep it there if ya really do care, yeah, power to the people, take it back from those devoured by the evil, I said put your fist in the air, and keep it there if ya really do care, yeah, power to the people, this is our hour to be equal (Outro) Say power to the people (Power to the people) Say power to the people (Power to the people) Say power to the people (Power to the people) Say power to the people (Power to the people) Say power to the people (Power to the people) Say power to the people (Power to the people) Say power to the people (Power to the people) Yo, this is our hour to be equal, chyeah

(Intro) Yeah (Verse 1) Questions of my worth since birth, I float in a stupor, reading pages of a book I wrote in the future, quoting a few words of a legend that died in his prime, the greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive, we all have stories, is there a moral to all of 'em, maybe you can discern and learn if you follow 'em, and in keeping with honoring all of those dying before, I'm inspired by their lives, so I aspire for more, even the tired and poor can wake up to be rich, we choose if we lose, so make up what you live, your brain is the catalyst, and it's on you to practice it, and make moves like a strategist, subdued in your room, chokin' on a sedative, occupied time, just focused on the negative, soak up all the better things, what you dedicate to can medicate you, so here's hopin' that we get to live (Chorus) A life worth livin' is a lot to bear, so what is it that you want to share, what is it that you want to share, huh, what is it that you want to share, a life worth livin' is a lot to bear, so what is it that you want to share, yo, what is it that you want to share, huh, what is it that you want to share (Verse 2) Obsessed with the quest, captivated like a witch's spell, coins I possess, I flip 'em in a wishing well, still stuck in a shell, tryin' to crack it, there's catharsis as an artist, but it's drastic, when the bricks that have built up your existence start to confine what's inside and the instant you think that you found a lifeline, you try to connect, but when the connection is severed, you're dying instead, pillow talk with yourself makes you feel inadequate, nights pass like that, but what's after it, 'cause we all fall victim to our indiscretions, we're not defined by our imperfections, a beautiful meadow has its share of weeds, and even dandelions help provide us with the air we breathe, so please bear with me while I veer, off the righteous path, invite me back when my head is clear (Chorus) A life worth livin' is a lot to bear, so what is it that you want to share, what is it that you want to share, huh, what is it that you want to share, a life worth livin' is a lot to bear, so what is it that you want to share, yo, what is it that you want to share, huh, what is it that you want to share (Verse 3) The average life expectancy, somewhere in your seventies, the thought of it can haunt you when it's festering incessantly, success is less of destiny and more of what you get to see when everything you ever dreamed is set in motion steadily, it's like a recipe, crack an egg and let it breathe, sprinkle in a little bit of spices for the peppering, measuring it out so our stomachs rest in ease, sensations burn, temptations spur the enemy inside of us that tries to clutch and hold onto our legs and feet, turn them into flippers, swim against a wretched stream, 'cause though the current's fervent, the determined reach the treasury, trajectory's determined by our thoughts and if we set them free, so open up your mind, wallow in the heavens' peaks, navigate the passageways, adventuring through mental leaps, maybe then we can erect an effigy that is reflective of our pedigrees and all of their complexities (Chorus) A life worth livin' is a lot to bear, so what is it that you want to share, what is it that you want to share, huh, what is it that you want to share, a life worth livin' is a lot to bear, so what is it that you want to share, yo, what is it that you want to share, huh, what is it that you want to share (Chorus) A life worth livin' is a lot to bear, so what is it that you want to share, what is it that you want to share, huh, what is it that you want to share, a life worth livin' is a lot to bear, so what is it that you want to share, yo, what is it that you want to share, huh, what is it that you want to share
